As the nation's largest student run organization, NSBE has been a premier technical society since its inception in 1975. The organization has eclipsed over 25,000 members nationally and continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Maintaining a standard of excellence, NSBE-UM received the 2006-2007 Region 4 Chapter of the Year Award. We also received the 2005-2006 Cum Laude Award for achieving the third highest chapter grade point average and the 2000-2001 and 2005-2006 Distinguished Chapter of the Year Award for effective membership programming, the highest honor for a NSBE chapter.
